What is hypnosis/ hypnotherapy and how can I benefit?

Hypnotherapy means using hypnosis techniques to treat problems which concern your health and wellbeing. Richard specialises in helping you deal with stress, anxiety, low mood, and much more. Whatever the problem, it’s seldom as bad as you might think, and Richard usually gets a result within a few sessions.

A benefit of using hypnotherapy is that it is a completely natural treatment. Long lasting results can be achieved relatively quickly compared to conventional methods, such as counselling, psychotherapy and CBT.

Hypnotherapy Sessions

Your hypnotherapy consultation session with Richard may be face to face or online (eg typically an hour using Zoom). He will ask you to describe your problem to clarify what’s been happening and what result you expect of the treatment. Richard will then propose a programme for getting you back on track (usually three sessions). 

Next steps:

  1. The first step is to call or email Richard. You can include some information about what you’d like help with.
  2.  Arrange to speak over the phone or arrange a full consultation.
  3. Richard will propose a treatment plan ( typically a few sessions).
  4. Accept and agree time of next session.

     Occasionally, it may be important to check that relevant or appropriate medical examinations have been carried out.
